Scottesha Miller won the 60 meter dash at Big 12 Championships. Her time of 7.25 ranks her in the top 8 in the nation as she heads to the NCAA Regionals.

Jamal Tiller won the triple jump at the Southern Conference Championships. His jump of 51-1.75 ranks 8th all time at Appalachian as he heads to NCAA Regionals. He has also been named the Southern Conference, "Freshman Athlete of the Year". Jamal's points also helped contribute to Appalachian State winning the overall team championship.

Wheeler’s Natisha Dixon clinched the 400-meter dash and was part of a 1-2 finish of two Lady Wildcat teams in the 1,600 relay, boosting Wheeler to its first region championship in 10 years.

Jaelyn Rice's victory in the high jump and Netalia Anderson's surprise win in the long jump, Wheeler sat atop the team standings with 38 points.
